KUZOKU got prize Grand Prix “Golden Montgolfiere” in The 33rd Festival of the Three Continents!

“SAUDADE” was officially nominated for the official competition by “The Festival of the three continents 2011” (French: Festival des 3 continents) and prized Grand Prix “Golden Montgolfiere”.

“The Festival of the Three Continents” has been held from 1979 in Nantes, France and is devoted to the cinemas of Asia, and Africa and Latin America. The range of festival is from commercial motion pictures, Independent films, and documentary films. The notable directors as Hou Hsiao-Hsing, Abbas Kiarostami, Abolfazl Jalili, Amir Naderi and Jia Zhang Ke are known to Europe by this festival’s official competition.

Due to those facts, this festival marks significant in worldwide. The best award, “Golden Montgolfiere”, is that remarkable festival’s especial golden award and as Japanese film, it is for the first time in 13 years since “Wonderful Life” (1998) by Hirokazu Koreeda.
